On pourrait dater cette écuelle de 1694, date à laquelle Thomas Foley est élevé à la pairie, en tant que Baron Foley.
Le baron Foley (1673 - 1733) est un propriétaire terrien anglais, Maître de forges et homme politique Conservateur, qui siège à la chambre des communes de 1694 à 1712.
Il est le fils aîné de Thomas Foley (1641 - 1701) et, à ce titre, hérite de Witley Court, Great Witley, Worcestershire, à la mort de son père.

We could date this porringer to 1694, when Thomas Foley was raised to the peerage, as Baron Foley.
Thomas Foley, 1st Baron Foley (1673 - 1733), of Witley Court, Great Witley, Worcestershire, was an English landowner, ironmaster and Tory politican who sat in the English and British House of Commons from 1694 until 1712.
Foley was the eldest son of Thomas Foley (1641 - 1701) and, for this reason, inherited the Great Witley estate on his father's death.
